Notes:
The Crescent Nebula is about 4,700 light years away. This image covers about half of the nebula, which is caused from a central star ejecting large amounts of gas. It’s also known as Sharpless 2-105. This is a planetary nebula. The large stars are magnitude 7 stars (far too dim to be see by the naked eye).
